How to Flush your Hot Water Tank

For electric HWT’s, instead of dealing with the pilot and thermostat, turn off your breaker for the tank BEFORE draining the water, and back on AFTER you refill the tank. (VERY IMPORTANT, failure to complete this step will burn out your element in the tank!!!.)
